Today I had a lunch meeting with two of our College Ministry leaders–Travis and Steve. Just prior to eating our meal, we prayed as we always do. After finishing, our waitress, Casey, out of the blue asked, “Do you guys go to that church on Atlantic Blvd.” (AKA - Church by the Glades).
I was mind-bottled that the first church that came to Casey’s mind when she saw someone doing something “spiritual” was CBG. I am blessed to be part of such a church.
Anyway, we had a good conversation with Casey and Meredith, her friend who was working the bar. We gave them an invite card and invited them to church. They said they can’t make it this weekend because they have a big party to go to Saturday night. According to Casey, she doesn’t party that often, but when she does…you know…
They both seemed very interested in coming. I suspect we will see them here in the next couple of weeks.
So, if you are ever at the Chili’s on University Dr. in Coral Springs and are sitting in the bar area (added bonus – for the free chips and salsa for sitting there), ask for Casey or Meredith and encourage them!
