As I have said before, from everything I have been able to read and hear about Mike Huckabee, he seems to be a real-deal conservative candidate for president in 2008.
I remember saying to myself about a month ago that I would vote for him if I didn’t feel like I was wasting my vote. As you probably already now, Mike has gained some momentum over the last month or so. At this point, it doesn’t look like anyone would be wasting their vote if they decided to go for this guy. I encourage you to read his platform like I did and start thinking about who you want to lead this country in the coming days.
I must say, I am intrigued about the fair tax idea…I would like to see how that would play out…
In honor of my decision, I have posted a blog banner in my sidebar (I am sure you have already seen it). Also, see the “Chuck for Huck” YouTube video below.
I still have one question though…can a guy with the last name “Huckabee” really get elected as president???
*UPDATE MARCH 2008: Obviously things didn’t work our so well for Mike. Who knows, maybe he’ll be McCain’s running mate….

that is exactly what i was thinking. President Huckabee? Come on. What are we, a bunch of Arkansas rednecks?
Besides, my wife already thinks “Clinton” has a nice ring to it. It is such a familiar name.

you can’t be serious…I couldn’t vote for many of the Democrats due to their stance on the moral issues. They might have some other things figured out, but the “other things” aren’t as important to me.
How many “Huck-fin” jokes do you think are going to be floating around…

here’s my problem. at heart i’m a republican – small government, less spending. problem is: reagan, bush I, and bush II have not lived up to the republican ideal. and though they’ve had a combined 20 years together as presidents, they still didn’t manage to overturn RoeVWade. what’s the point?
